Hi there, My name is Jennifer Massey and I'm a native of Houston, but moved here five years ago following my husband. Currently, I am a middle school social studies/language teacher. In persuing an Ed Tech degree I hope to both increase my classroom "bag of tricks" while making a more challenging/relevant environment overall. I enjoy running, traveling (mostly accompanying my husband to ultimate frisbee tournments), reading, and crocheting. I even have a little shop on Etsy for my crochet items that is open when I have some spare time. I'm excited to learn more ways to integrate technology with my curriculum! :)
Hello Everyone, My name is Bethany Tipton and I am a teacher at Ray High School. I teach AP (Advanced Placement) and IB (International Baccalaureate) Biology. I have been teaching for 9 years and in that time I have taught: Chemistry, Physics, TAKS prep, Biology, IPC and 7th grade general science. I am originally from Midland / Odessa, but moved down here 16 years ago and graduated high school from Gregory Portland. My undergraduate is in Pre-professional biology with medical school emphasis. I have a Masters in Secondary Education and I am currently a doctoral candidate in the Curriculum and Instruction department. I am interested in developing a sexual health curriculum for the state of Texas and wanted to take this course to increase my repertoire and for practical use of instructional design in the classroom.
I am Jerry Dugan, son of Bruce Dugan. (I've always wanted to say that. It sounded better in my head, and not so much now that I've said it out loud. Oh, well.)
I am originally from Monterey Peninsula in California, but grew up as an Army Brat which probably influenced me the most to join myself.
I currently work at Women's Shelter of South Texas as a Community Educator and working towards a Masters Degree in Educational Technology. My hope is that I will be able to use technology to improve the quality and quantity of training for both staff and the community we serve at Women's Shelter of South Texas. Ultimately, I hope to land a job somewhere as an instructional designer (and make more money) as well as develop a book and public speaking platform aimed at strengthening marriages. My wife and I serve as local volunteers for FamilyLife Ministries based out of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Jessica Harlin Culinary Arts Dual Credit Highschool Instructor at Del Mar College Cooking Connection Demo Chef at HEB Plus in Flour Bluff Got my Culinary degree from Del Mar, my Bachelors in OCTD from TAMUCC and almost done with my Master in Ed Tech here as well. Hello! My name is Albert Martinez. I am a technology director for CCISD. I help provide the technology infrastructure for classrooms, such as computers, Internet access, wired and wireless network, mobile devices, and pretty much anything with a button. Our traditional infrastructure is moving away from on-premise to the cloud, so I'm very interested in classroom technology needs. This degree has helped in connecting with the customer (teachers and students). I'm married and have four children. My spare time is spent with my family. We love the beach and spending time outside.
Hi y'all, I'm Jim Wassmer. I'm pursuing my Master's in Ed Tech and this is my final class before graduating in August. I am a 20 year Navy veteran and hope to be able to start a new career as an instructional designer or as a technology adviser to a school district. I am married with three children although they aren't kids anymore. We have been blessed with 5 grandchildren and are planning to move to Utah where 4 of them live.
Hello everyone, my name is Melissa Rigney. I have lived in Texas for about 5 years now. I was born in England but came to the US in my teens and completed college here in the States. My background is in English lit. I currently teach online full time in the English dept., for the American Military Univ., a fully online University. Which means I get to go to work in my pyjamas. I am working on an MS in Ed tech and would love to work with teachers and college instructors who are moving face- to -face classes online or who have little experience with online teaching. I also enjoy online course design and development. In my spare time I love to read (mostly detective/mystery novels), crochet and knit.
Hi, I am Ashley Lopez. I was born and raised in CC and lived in the valley for a short time while going to school. I completed my BS in Biology from TAMUCC and will complete my MS in Secondary Ed. in December.
I am currently a biology teacher at King High School. I started my teaching career this January so I am relatively new to the world of instruction. I would like to improve upon my instructional presentation to benefit my students and my effectiveness at work.
Outside of work and school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and relaxing outdoors. Last month I made my first journey out of the US to Ireland, Holland, and Spain and developed a love for traveling. I have decided that this will be my lifetime hobby!
Greetings fellow students of Ed. Tech. I currently work for Teradata Corporation as a customer education consultant. This includes creating web-based training for the Teradata product line for our customers.
Teradata was spun off from NCR Corporation in 2007. I worked with NCR for 23 years. My initial group developed courses on laser discs. I was involved with corporate education and leading edge technology most of that time. Seven years after joining NCR, I requested to be a virtual employee and move from Ohio back to Texas.
Between my employment with NCR and Teradata, I started my own business called Crook Consulting which handled a few eLearning projects.
My family and I live a few miles from the gulf beach, which we enjoy. We also enjoy all the restaurants here; family run Mexican food, bar-b-cue and local seafood.
My wife and I met in college as art students. She enjoys quilting, but her free time is concentrated on home schooling our son. Our two daughters are currently graphic design majors at Harding University.
Hi, I'm Anna Gatti. I'm from the Austin area, but came to Corpus for college to get my degree in marine biology. After I graduated, I decided I wanted to become a teacher and joined the MAC program.
I've lived here for 7 years and love the coast. I have a great group of friends and a wonderful boyfriend, but after I graduate in December, I want to move to another area of Texas to teach.
I love animals, painting, and working out. I'm training for my second triathlon this September.
Hello, I'm Stefanie McAliley I am from central Texas and have lived here in Corpus for 5 years now, I am currently spending the summer in San Marcos, Tx. with my fiancee and his family. I am in the Ed Leadership program here at TAMUCC and am taking this class as an elective.
I know very little about technology and am hoping to learn from your all.
I love to travel and spend time with family, I enjoy crafts and quilting in my spare time.
I am currently a teacher and coach at Kaffie Middle School but am trying to get a job in the San Marcos area as a Principal.
I am looking forward to this class and reading everyone's thoughts on the different subject matter.
I'm Lee Watkins. I've been at A&M for longer than I want to admit. I got my undergrad degree here in MIS, and I work full time as a network engineer on campus. This is the last class I need to get my EDTEC masters. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, playing sports that I'm usually awful at, and I have a nasty addiction to taking in stray cats. Oh, and I still have no idea what I want to do when I grow up.
